What are your impressions of women in the Ibo society? How might Achebe's viewpoint be limited here?

Answer:

Achebe is portraying women like there are just workers, cooks, powerless, and wives. They do not have any voice in anything that the tribe decides or does.In the Ibo culture's pyramid of status women are only above animals and their children.

Achebe's viewpoint is limited because he is a man and he might not be able to understand women in the Ibo culture. Also in the Ibo culture women are not valued as much as men. He cannot go to the opinion of women in the book because their thoughts are not valued.
