Why according to Okonkwo, do the Ibo hold responsibility for the white man invading their land? do you agree with his perspective?
Answer:
I think Okonkwo is right. They let the white men come into their village and build churches and houses for them to try to convert and take over their community. By letting them build a church in the Evil Forest they gave them more power by taking in members of their community. They could have simply denied them access to build churches, houses, and government building. I agree with his perspective because in the quote he explains perfect how they let the white men slowly take over under their nose. And now they are in a bad situation and close to losing all of their power against the missionaries.
